The RestorationThe 1921 L-1 Gibson Restoration
The 1921 L-1 The Gibson was purchased (used) at some point in the 1940’s by my aunt, Cherry Columbine Jones (we called her Aunt Bine). She gave me a few lessons on the guitar in the 1960’s and eventually gave it to me in the mid-1960’s. The guitar has been an important part of my life for over 50 years! In early 2021, I asked Greg Platzer, a solid guitarist and extremely talented craftsman to restore the guitar to its original sound and look. The job he did is simply amazing. I am happy to share these photos.
